1. M Leelavathy

M Leelavathy is one of the Malayalam writers, literary critics, and educationists. She was born on 16 September 1927 in Kottappadi part. The full name of M Leelavathy is Mundanat Leelavathy. She has done PhD education qualification. She was been awarded by Padma Shri. She has written many books including Appuvint̲e anvēṣṇaṃ: Si. Rādhākr̥ṣṇant̲e onpatu nōvalukaḷuṭe paṭhanaṃ, Edassery Govindan Nair, Malayāḷa kavitāsāhitya caritr̲aṃ etc.

2. Ruskin Bond

Ruskin Bond is one of the Indian popular authors of British descent. The first novel of Ruskin Bond is The Room on the Roof which received the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957. Ruskin Bond was born on 19 May 1934 in Kasauli. His study is done by Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. He has written many books including The Blue Umbrella in 1974, The Room on the Roof 1956, Delhi is not far in 1994 etc. He has been awarded by Padma Shri, Sahitya Akademi Award, Padma Bhushan and John Llewellyn Rhys Prize.

3. Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay

Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay is one of the Bengali authors from India. He has written stories based on adults and children. Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay was born in Mymensingh on 2 November 1935. He is now living in Bangladesh. The Mukhopadhyay’s were originally from Bainkhara, Bikrampur. He was married to Sonamon Mukhopadhyay. He passed intermediate from the Victoria College, Koch Bihar before taking a Masters in Bengali from Calcutta University. He has been awarded by Ananda Puraskar and Sahitya Akademi.

4. Vinod Kumar Shukla

Vinod Kumar Shukla is a famous Hindi writer. He is known for his style that often borders on magic-realism. Vinod Kumar Shukla was born on 1 January 1937 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The first collection of Vinod Kumar Shukla poems Lagbhag Jai Hind was published in 1971. His novels like Naukar ki Kameez and Deewar Mein Ek Khirkee Rahati Thi was won the Sahitya Akademi Award for the best Hindi work in 1999. He has written many books including Blue Is Like Blue: Stories, THE WINDOWS IN OUR HOUSE ARE LITTLE DOORS etc.

5. Dr Bhalchandra Nemade

Dr Bhalchandra Nemade is one of the popular Indian Marathi language writers, poets, critics and linguistic scholars. The full name of Dr Bhalchandra Nemade is Bhalchandra Vanaji Nemade. He has been awarded by Sahitya Akademi Award in 1991, Padma Shri 2013 and Jnanapith Award in 2014. He was born on 27 May 1938 in Sangvi. He has done his education at the University Of Mumbai, SOAS University of London, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Fergusson University and Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute.

6. Dr Tejwant Singh Gill

8. Indira Parthasarathy

Indira Parthasarathy is one of the famous and popular Indian writers. He was born on 10 July 1930 in Kumbakonam. R. Parthasarathy, commonly known as Indira Parthasarathy or Ee. Paa. He is an Indian author and playwright. He has written in the Tamil language. Indira Parthasarathy has published 16 novels, 10 plays, anthologies of short stories, and essays. He is best known for his plays, Aurangzeb, Nandan Kathai and Ramanujar. Hw has been awarded by Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Theatre – Playwriting in Tamil.
