On January 31, 2015, at a flat in Kadavanthra, Kochi, four individuals, including Shine Tom Chacko, a well-known actor from Malayalam films like “Gaddama” and “Kammatipaadam,” were apprehended by the Kerala Police.

During the early morning raid, the police discovered over 10 grams of cocaine, which is valued at approximately Rs 10 lakh.

After two months behind bars, he and a handful of others were granted bail and released. To him, it looks like a trap.

5. Nandamuri Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna, a Telugu actor and the son of the late Andhra Pradesh chief minister NT Rama Rao, is facing charges related to attempted murder under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and violations of sections 25 and 27 of the Indian Arms Act.

At his Hyderabad home in Jubilee Hills on the evening of June 3, 2004, he allegedly opened fire on film producer B Suresh and astrologer Satyanarayana Choudhary. Kanakaiah, their driver, and his wife Vasundhara were additionally indicted

At trial, nevertheless, Suresh and Choudhary both claimed that “not shot at by Balakrishna, but by an unidentified fan standing beside the actor” was responsible for the shooting.

In a very troubling turn of events, nearly all of the witnesses—except the actor’s gunner and forensic specialists—became antagonistic in court. In April of 2005, all allegations against the three were dismissed

6. Padma Shri Mohanlal

Padma Shri Mohanla

Padma Shri Mohanlal, a superstar from the Malayalam film industry, had four ivories confiscated from his home in Thevara, Ernakulam, Kerala, by the Income Tax authorities in June 2012.

The performer lacked the necessary authorization to do so. He was then granted permission to keep the confiscated ivories at his residence following the execution of a bond with the relevant authorities.

Former state forest minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and others who were allegedly involved in the sale of the tusks to the  actor were both asked by the Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court to provide a rapid verification report.

In January of this year, the Kerala High Court nullified it. Investigations have not concluded and the final report has not been presented at this time.

Some things that were confiscated by the police were packs of playing cards and tokens, according to reports. The actor and twelve others were indicted by the Nungambakkam police. All of them were eventually granted bail.
